Damon's team noticed that blenders, hot pots, and coffee makers each had their own plastic housings and power supplies, but at their core they either heated a vessel or rotated it.By combining a single motor and a high-efficiency induction heating coil with a selection of purpose built containers, EcoSwitch is able to replace half-a-dozen gadgets that crowd tiny kitchens. Fewer appliances plugged into the wall means less energy lost to phantom load and a single device reduces the amount of raw materials that are wasted.Scarred from using the Byzantine interfaces of combined printer/scanner/fax machines, the team approached the design of the EcoSwitch UI with some trepidation. "None of us were that excited about an all-in-one design because it usually means they do a lot of things poorly and nothing really great," says Damon.

Inspiring the next generation
Meanwhile, her father, heritage architect Peter Freeman, has his own
creative ventures going on.His book The Wallpapered Manse has just been
published, putting the focus on his cherished home in Moruya on the
South Coast.The book details the restoration of the historic
Presbyterian manse, built in 1865, and the history of Moruya. He will be

Though drying capacity went down, the speed and efficiency of the Electrolux dryers combined with the high extract G-Force of the washers enable the laundry to process more loads per day 9.78 loads versus 7.81."The overall result of the higher extraction rate allowed us to go with smaller dryers and really spread out the loads," Smith said, adding that the additional capacity contributed to reaching the goal of greater operating efficiency — making staff more productive.
Electrolux's moisture sensing technology, which enables the units to dry to a set moisture retention level and then shut off the heat, further increased efficiency.With the majority of a laundry's gas consumption coming on the drying side, this is where the Hilton Concord saw a huge reduction in utility usage and costs.
